ENVIROEDU TURNS 10! 🎉

On the 13th May 2013, EnviroEDU was officially registered as a business in Mildura. We started out very small – a husband-wife zoologist team, a handful of snakes and lizards, two sugar gliders, a cheeky Regent Parrot and two kids under the age of four!

What an amazing ride it has been! We are incredibly proud of how far we have come, the programs we can now offer and the friendships we have forged with beautiful people in our industry. Ten years ago, we would never have imagined in a million years that we would now own a menagerie of over 70 native animals and have three amazing staff members working alongside us! We feel incredibly privileged to be able to do what we do on a daily basis surrounded by three dedicated staff members that we consider part of the family!

But I’m not going to lie…..it hasn’t always been smooth sailing. The horrendously tough and stressful two years of COVID and ongoing lockdowns certainly took its toll as it did with many small family run businesses. And now with two kids very passionate about their sport and needing to travel to tournaments and two adults that want to continue to be able to travel and explore this great country with the kids…..there have been many a time that we have come close to hanging up the boots and walking away from it all. Managing a zoo is all consuming and the days of impromptu get-aways are pretty much non-existent.

However, the satisfaction of being able to share our love and passion for the environment, the love for our amazing animal family and the incredible love and support we continue to receive from our beautiful Mallee community keeps us wanting to be able to deliver our programs well into the future.

On behalf of all the EnviroEDU team, we would like to thank our family, friends, and clients for your ongoing support and we can’t wait to continue to deliver fun, educational and hands-on experiences for our local community!

One of the best parts of my job is visiting beauti

One of the best parts of my job is visiting beautiful rural schools such as Underbool Primary School. The students showed such a passion for the environment….I think we definitely have some future environmental leaders hailing from the Mallee!!
